1.Background
The 675/92 order of EU which was caped on March 18, 1992 has ruled preliminarily that the content of tetracyclines can't be more than 100ppb in milk and muscle, the content of tetracyclines can't be more than 600ppb in kidney, the content of tetracyclines can't be more than 300ppb in liver, the content of tetracyclines can't be more than 200ppb in egg.
The test of tetracyclines is based on HPLC. The shortcomings of HPLC are it needs to cost plenty of time to prepare sample and it also needs expensive instruments. The kit has characteristics of high accuracy, high sensitivity, low operate technology, short time and a lot of sample.
2. Test Principle
This ELISA kit is designed to detect teracyclines based on the principle of "indirect-competitive" ELISA. The microtiter wells are coated with capture BSA-linked antigen. tetracyclines in the sample competes with the antigen for binding to the limited number of antibody. After the addition of enzyme conjugate and TMB substrate, the signal is measured in an ELISA photometer. The absorption is inversely proportional to the tetracyclines concentration in the sample.
3. Applications
This kit can be used in quantitative and qualitative analysis of tetracyclines residue in aquatic products (fish, shrimp), honey.
