1. Background
Lincomycin is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic, which can inhibit protein synthesis of bacilli, however, bacilli has partial cross resistance to this drug and other macrolides. Absorption of taking of this drug is inefficient, and alimentary canal symptoms like naupathia, anabole, glossitis, rectitis, diarrhea and perianal pruritus may occur in 10%~20% of the patients who take it; metabolism of this drug is mainly in liver, and can be excreted through kidney, biliary passage and intestinal tract, 40% of it is excreted in the prototype with dejecta.
This kit is a new product based on ELISA technology, which is fast (only 1 hour in one operation), easy, accurate and sensitive compared with common instrumental analysis, and so it can considerably minimize operation error and work intensity.
2. Test Principle
This ELISA kit is designed to detect lincomycin based on the principle of "indirect-competitive" ELISA. The microtiter wells are coated with capture BSA-linked antigen. Lincomycin in the sample competes with the antigen for binding to the limited number of antibody. After the addition of enzyme conjugate and TMB substrate, the signal is measured in an ELISA photometer. The absorption is inversely proportional to the lincomycin concentration in the sample.
3. Applications
This kit can be used in quantitative and qualitative analysis of lincomycin residue in animal tissue (muscle and liver, fish and shrimp), honey, royal jelly, milk etc.
