1.Background
Imidacloprid is Neonicotinoid insecticides. It has the characteristics of broad spectrum, high efficiency, low toxicity, low residual. The pests are not susceptible to resistance for imidacloprid. It is safe for the man, the livestock, plant and the natural enemy. It has multiple action, such as touch out, stomach toxicity and systemic. When the pests touch the agent, the nervous centralis of the pests can't do the normal conduction and result in paralysis of the death. The standard GB/T 23379-2009 provides the way to test the imidacloprid in the fruit, vegetables and the tea. This standard is suitable for testing the imidacloprid in the honey.
The kit is a new generation of the medicine residue test products developed by the ELISA technology. It has the characteristics of quick, convenient, accurate and highly sensitive than the analysis technology of equipment. The test only needs 1.5 hours. It can reduce the operation error and the work strength.
2. Test Principle
This ELISA kit is designed to detect imidacloprid based on "indirect-competitive" enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter wells are coated with BSA-linked imidacloprid antigen. imidacloprid in the sample competes with the precoated antigen for binding to the limited number of antibody. After the addition of enzyme conjugate and TMB substrate, the signal is measured with an ELISA photometer. The absorption is inversely proportional to the imidacloprid concentration in the sample, compared with the standard curve, imidacloprid residue in the sample can be calculated.
3. Applications
This kit can be used for rapid test of imidacloprid in honey.
