Competitive Enzyme Immunoassay Kit for Quantitative Analysis of Carbendazim
1. Background
Carbendazim is also named as carbendazol and Methyl-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl carbamate. Carbendazim is broad-spectrum sterilizing agent which can be used as prevention and cure for many kinds of crop diseases caused by fungi(such as imperfect fungi and ascomycetes ). Carbendazim can be used for sparying leaves, seeds and soil treatment, which is low toxicity for people, livestock, fish and honeybee. And also, Carbendazim can irritate skin and eye. Once oral poisoning appears, it can cause Dizziness, nausea and vomiting.
This kit is a new generation product for drug residue detection based on ELISA technology. It is fast, simple, accurate and sensitive. The assay time of this kit is only 45 minutes ,which considerably minimizes work intensity and operation error.
2.Test Principle
This ELISA kit is designed based on "direct-competitive" enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter wells are pre-coated with linked antigen, residual carbendazim in sample and pre-coated enzyme conjugate linked to compete with carbendazim. After the addition of enzyme conjugate and TMB substrate, the signal is measured with an ELISA photometer. The absorption is inversely proportional to the carbendazim concentration in the sample, compared with the standard curve, carbendazim residue in the sample can be calculated.
3.Application
The kit can qualitatively and quantitatively detect residue of carbendazim in honey sample.
